KATIE Price's fiance Carl Woods has hit back at trolls in a furious rant after they slammed him for continuing to drink despite her sobriety.

The car salesman took to his Instagram stories with a series of videos showing him downing beers on Wednesday night before he was forced to lash out.

Carl, 32, made it clear he was not joining wife-to-be Katie, 43, in giving up alcohol for Dry Jan weeks after she was cleared in court following a drink-drive smash.

A source exclusively told The Sun that the ex-glamour girl, who dodged a jail term for overturning her Range Rover last year, had "vowed" to give up booze.

"Usually, Katie would have a few drinks over Christmas but she has knocked that on the head and will be doing Dry January to get her mind right," they revealed.

Despite this, Carl filmed himself knocking back a series of different beers as he relaxed at home with Katie – with their Christmas tree still up in the background.

"We'll start with this one, and then we will move onto the Sol and see what's happening," he told his following as he chugged from a Corona bottle.

However, Katie's fans were quickly up in arms to complain that Carl wasn't going to join her in her sobriety this month, and called for him to be more "supportive".

"He's drinking in front of her? Wouldn't call that supportive," one woman lashed out, as a second chimed in: "How about Dry Jan in support of your wife to be?"

"Disgusting behaviour," a third scathed, as a fourth wrote: "My thoughts exactly. Just goes to show how seriously they are taking things."

Carl headed to the comments on his latest Instagram post to hit back at the trolls, reminding them that him giving up booze before "didn't make a difference".

"How about I done all that before and it didn't make any difference?" he lashed out as he continued: "How about you look at her GMB interview from the other morning…"

Fans also chimed in to defend Carl, with one writing in agreement: "Leave the guy alone, he's been so supportive of Katie and seems like a genuine guy."

The Sun told of how mother-of-five Katie made her sobriety pledge as it emerged she is planning an eighth autobiography, which will “name and shame” her foes from a year of dramas.

It saw her report being assaulted in her West Sussex home as well as rolling her car over in September while serving a driving ban. After spending time in rehab, she was let off with a 16-week suspended sentence.

A source said: “Katie’s contacted her publisher saying this one will be her most explosive yet. She’s planning to go all in. It will have a focus on mental health, and how she worked on hers in The Priory.”
