Amy Robach & TJ Holmes Run The NYC Marathon Together Amid Their Romance!
Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes returned to where their romance supposedly began – the New York City Half Marathon!
For those who haven’t been keeping up with this controversial couple, reports came out that their years-long friendship turned into something more while they were training for the March 2022 half marathon. In fact, an Us Weekly insider previously claimed their “bond was made stronger because of ” when they began training together — unlike her now ex-husband Andrew Shue who didn’t like that she “challenged herself to run four marathons in 2022.” That’s when Amy and T.J.’s romantic connection took off. Weeks before their affair came to light, the duo then ran the NYC marathon in November. And now, they’re back at the race again!
The former Good Morning America co-anchors were photographed running side-by-side in Times Square and Central Park during the 13.1-mile United Airlines New York City Half Marathon together on Sunday morning. According to Page Six, T.J. and Amy seemed to try to go undetected during the race as their names were not included on a list of celebrity runners in advance – as they’ve done in previous years. Given the scandalous nature (and beginning) of their relationship, it’s not surprising that they tried to go unnoticed at the event.
The 45-year-old journalist even sported an all-black outfit with a black beanie and neon green sneakers. Meanwhile, the 50-year-old wore a white jacket that was paired with blue leggings, a black t-shirt, orange running shoes, and sunglasses. You can ch-ch-check at the pics from the event (below):
Per Dailymail.com, the pair started at around 7 a.m., and they crossed the finish line at around 10 a.m. – coming in at roughly three hours to complete the marathon. We guess those reported “private intimate workouts” really did give them some “extra added stamina.” LOLz!
Their appearance at the marathon comes shortly after Amy finalized her divorce from Andrew outside of court. While details of their settlement have remained under wraps, the former couple reportedly arranged to have joint custody of their dog, Brody. As for T.J.? He filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Marilee Fiebig, in December but has yet to settle it. And of course, Amy and T.J. did not only ditch their marriages recently but they were also axed from their jobs at Good Morning America at the height of their affair scandal. A spokesperson from ABC said at the time:
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
