'BIP': Demi Burnett and Slater Davis Call It Quits After Just a Few Months

Looks like there’s trouble in paradise once more for Demi Burnett and her romantic relationships. The 25-year-old podcast host recently called it quits with her now ex-boyfriend, Slater Davis. The pair have been dating openly for about four months and were even quarantining together amidst the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But what happened in this very short-lived relationship?

Because The Bachelor world is so small it makes sense that Slater and Davis met through someone in the franchise. In fact, this seems to be a pattern for Burnett as she met her former fiancée, Kristian Haggerty, through a Bachelor alum also. This time around, however, it was Burnett’s best friend and fellow Bachelor in Paradise star, Katie Morton, who introduced her to Davis.

Things seemed to be going well for Burnett and Davis for a while. The pair became Instagram official back in February and often posted very cutesy pictures together on their respective Instagram pages. The young couple even made the decision to quarantine together despite the fact that their relationship was very new. Furthermore, Burnett was fond of gushing about how much she loved Davis and how easy it was for her to envision a future with him.

In an interview with the Coco Caliente podcast, Burnett praised Davis for his trademark energy “I’ve never met anyone like him, He’s, like, really, really special, and anyone who meets him, like, you just fall in love with him. He just has this amazing energy about him and he makes everybody laugh and he’s, like, infectious and you just want to be in a good mood around him because he’s just so, like, joyful,” Burnett shared.

Burnett continued on to share that Davis made he feel like nobody else did. She even shared that she couldn’t see her life without him. “He, like, makes me feel so special in that moment and I’m like, ‘Thank you, I just needed that.’ … I can’t imagine life without him now. It’s so weird,” she added about the aspiring musician.

But, fans of the couple quickly noticed that the honeymoon phase of Burnett’s relationship seemed to be fading fast. In a recent episode of her podcast, Big Demi Energy, she revealed that being quarantined had put a strain on her relationship with Davis. Not only was she sharing space with him, but she was also around his family 24/7, which made for a tense atmosphere.

Davis and Davis split up after quarantining together

‘You spend that much time with someone and their family — it’s like you start nit-picking and you start getting mad over the stupidest stuff and fighting about it,” Burnett revealed. Fans of the couple wondered if the pair could get past their bickering, but it seems as though coronavirus managed to reveal that Davis and Burnett were simply not a good match for one another.

Burnett and Nick Viall are not dating

Last week, fans noted that recently the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Furthermore, both Burnett and Davis have scrubbed their respective Instagram pages of any traces of their relationship. Later Us Weekly officially announced that their pair had split. While it might be challenging for Burnett to deal with yet another public breakup, at least she has friends like Nick Viall to keep her company through it all.
