As he hosted The Brit Awards for a fourth consecutive year, Jack Whitehall took aim at several famous faces over the course of the ceremony.

The presenter, who was praised by girlfriend Roxy Horner after she was rushed to hospital, mocked Piers Morgan for being forced off of Good Morning Britain and slammed Rita Ora's illegal party.

As he opened the evening with a speech at the 02 Arena in London, the 32 year old said: "I cannot tell you how grateful we are to be here tonight for the first live event back in the 02 arena.

"This venue has been emptier than Piers Morgan's diary," he joked. "It's been a tough year, Covid's had more comebacks than Craig David but this evening we look forward to a brighter future."

The comedian later decided to add Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards, as well as One Direction's Niall Horan to his hit list.

He continued: "To ensure a reduced capacity we billed this as a Niall Horan gig."

When introducing Little Mix, Jack added: "These girls are so sync they can even harmonise their pregnancies."

Not wanting to leave Jade Thirwall out of the jibe, Jack sang with Sea Shanty star Nathan Evans: "Soon may the Little Mix come, babies popping one by one.

"They still look like they're having fun, Jade's drinking for all three."

Continuing the song, the television personality expressed: "Tay-Tay, Pink and the whole lot more – a party fit for Rita Ora."

Ahead of the awards show, Jack joked that he needed to go on a "Hollywood diet" ahead of the big night after he "let himself go" during lockdown.

Jack likened himself to film star Orlando Bloom and said he’d be working hard to achieve a “Hollywood physique.”

Detailing how he gets himself show ready, the TV star said: “Yes it's back on the Hollywood diet for me in the run up to The Brits, having let myself go during lockdown…”

“I’m going full Bloom – Orlando Bloom – in preparation of being back on stage,” he continued.

“It’ll have to be brain oil and new oats, whatever it is you need to get that Hollywood physique…There will be training sessions and Peloton rides to be camera ready.”
