Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett Tie For Entertainer Of The Year At ACM Awards

Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett tied for the coveted ACM Entertainer of the Year award, the first ever tie in the award’s history.

Underwood and Rhett were equally surprised when host Keith Urban announced the tie at the awards show held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Wednesday. The wins mark Rhett’s first and Underwood’s third for entertainer of the year.

The show had been delayed for months because of the coronavirus pandemic and was moved from Las Vegas to Nashville.

Meanwhile, Luke Combs won the male artist of the year award, while Maren Morris took home the female artist of the year award. Dan + Shay were selected as the duo of the year, while Old Dominion won the group of the year prize.

Combs also won the album of the year award for What You See Is What You Get, while Blake Shelton‘s “God’s Country” won the award for single of the year.
