Dancing On Ice’s Beth Tweddle gives birth to baby girl

Former Dancing on Ice star Beth Tweddle has given birth to a baby girl.

The 34-year-old gymnast took to Instagram to reveal the name and sex of her newborn.

Beth uploaded an adorable snap of her and her husband Andy holding hands with the tiny bundle of joy.

Next to it, she wrote: “Exciting news! Andy and I are delighted to welcome and introduce Freya Allen to the world.

“Born 16th May, both her and I are doing well.

“What an unbelievable feeling and we’re looking forward to the amazing journey ahead.”

Beth confirmed her pregnancy on Twitter back in December.

She wrote: “Really excited to share the news that Andy and I are expecting our first child in May 2019.”

The Olympic champion tied the knot with her husband six months before in her home village of Banbury, Cheshire.

They first got engaged in Brazil during the 2016 Rio Olympics, after two years of dating.

Her happy news follows two gruelling years of recovery after Beth was seriously injured in training for Channel 4’s The Jump.

Beth was left unable to walk or shower in 2016 after smashing into barriers during ski training for the show and broke two vertebrae in her neck.

Despite recovering from the terrible injury, the TV personality revealed she still has days where she struggles.

The gymnast has also praised her new husband for being instrumental in helping nurse her back to health.

Beth previously won bronze at London 2012, after taking gold in the same year at the World Cup.
