Tom Cruise was all smiles with restaurant staff outside Asha’s restaurant, after he reportedly enjoyed not one but two Chicken Tikka Masala dishes. The 59-year-old was seen sporting casual attire consisting of a dark blue jumper, jeans and a blue jacket.

Asha’s restaurant, owned by actress Asha Bhosle, shared a picture of the actor outside with staff on their Twitter page today.

He was seen smiling for the camera as he held onto his face covering.

The restaurant’s social team wrote: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Tom Cruise to Asha’s Birmingham yesterday evening.

“Tom ordered our famous Chicken Tikka Masala and enjoyed it so much that as soon as he had finished, he ordered it all over again – the greatest compliment.”

Many Twitter users flocked to the post to comment, with the majority in disbelief that it was him.

One wrote: “Is that the real Tom Cruise????”

The restaurant’s social team replied: “Yes, he joined us yesterday evening.”

A second echoed: “Are you sure it’s not his stunt double?”

“That’s a lookalike. Come on,” a third added.

Another penned: “I reckon that’s Cruise.

“He’s obsessed about his height and stages pictures so he doesn’t appear as short as he is – like this one.”

“To be fair, his face really is looking very different recently,” a fifth wrote.

The Top Gun actor was spotted in the city’s Grand Central shopping centre just hours earlier.

He was pictured wearing the same clothes as well as a face covering as he spoke to what appeared to be members of his team.

Filming for Mission: Impossible 7 has been underway following a series of delays.

Camera and production work has been taking place at the Warner Bros Studios in Hertfordshire and on location across the UK.

Back in April, Tom surprised locals in the North Yorkshire village of Levisham, when he turned up by helicopter for a shoot.

The actor also posed for socially-distanced selfies during breaks in filming in Bedfordshire.

The new film is set to be released in May 2022.
