Famous Dex Heads Straight to Rehab After Released From Jail

The ‘Pick It Up’ rapper is checking into a rehab facility for his ‘overall wellness and to get himself right for the world again’ following his release from L.A.

AceShowbizFamous Dex is taking a step to get his life back on track following years of legal issues and addiction problems. The Rich Forever artist is reportedly checking himself into rehab following his latest jail stint.

The “Japan” hitmaker headed straight to a rehab facility after released from L.A. County jail last week, TMZ reports. According to the site, the 29-year-old is getting help for the sake of his “overall wellness and to get himself right for the world again.”

The exact location of the rehab facility that Dex is currently getting treatment is not disclosed, but it’s reported that he plans to remain in treatment until November.

This marks Dex’s second rehab stay. Back in December 2020, the hip-hop star, whose real name is Dexter Tiewon Gore Jr., voluntarily admitted himself for treatment after publicly denying he had any issues with drugs.

This came after his concerning behavior on social media. After fans suspected that he was high on drugs in an Instagram video, he clapped back at them as saying, “Stop worrying the next muthaf**ka that’s doing drugs [inaudible]. The world on drugs, you know what I’m sayin’? I used to love doing whatever.” In another video, he simply told people alleging he was using drugs to “suck my d**k.”

However, after an apparent intervention by his label boss Rich The Kid, Dex agreed to enter rehab. In a picture shared by Rich a.k.a. Dimitri Leslie Roger, he was seemingly picking the “Pick It Up” rapper up in his Rolls Royce and taking him directly to a private jet.

In December 2021, Dex again sparked concerns that he had not fully sobered up following his rehab stint. At the time, he appeared to be high and famished while flexing his muscles to the camera in an Instagram Story clip.

As for Dex’s legal issues, his latest jail stint stemmed from violating a protective order in a domestic violence case involving his former girlfriend in January of this year. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail. He was previously taken into custody for violating the protective order in June 2021.

In September last year, the New York City native was also sentenced to 364 days behind bars without bail for domestic violence and gun charges. However, just a couple of days after he received his prison sentence, he was released from the Men’s Central jail in Los Angeles.
