Gregg Wallace, 57, received a terrifying warning before he turned his life around to focus on his fitness. The MasterChef star has since lost a whopping 4st that completely transformed his body and lifestyle.

Gregg joined Good Morning Britain hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Bacon today for a chat about his radical change.

He lifted the lid on how he achieved his ideal results and the stark warning health professionals gave him.

He said: “I personally don’t like diets because I always felt hungry.

“What I do is eat three big healthy meals a day, meals that fill me up.”

The TV star continued: “The doctor said you have huge cholesterol here, unless you do something you’re going to have a heart attack.

“I went on a weight loss and fitness site and in there I tell you how I went from the guy on the left hand side of the screen [to the one on the right].

“I’m 56 years old what do you think guys.”

However, Gregg stressed he does not believe in “starving yourself”, but rather “making positive steps”.

He explained: “Seriously for people I don’t believe in diets. I don’t believe in doing something you can’t sustain.

“I don’t believe in starving yourself three times a week.

‘What I believe in is making positive steps in the right direction gradually, that way you move yourself into a healthy lifestyle.

“Listen to this carefully, you don’t have to be uncomfortable and hungry to lose weight.”

Gregg had previously been outspoken on his fitness, often showcasing the results of his balanced lifestyle on Instagram in view of his 153,000 followers.

On Sunday, he took to the social media platform in a bid to help people with their health journeys.

He shared a picture of himself smiling broadly as he flexed his right arm.

Gregg captioned the snap: “Ready to lose weight ? Wanna get slimmer ? Fitter ? Healthier ?

“I’m here to help – let me show you how I lost the weight and kept it off.”

The message seemed to reach his desired audience, with fans promptly showing interest.
