Cast: (L-R) Roman Kemp, Andrew Maxwell, Nadine Coyle, Ian Wright, Caitlyn Jenner, Jacqueline Jossa, Myles Stephenson, Adele Roberts, Kate Garraway, and James Haskell have been unveiled as the new cast of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

Of course, as the enduring ITV favourite – now entering its 19th series – is known for putting its contestants through a laundry list of gruelling Bushtucker Trials, the new stars have also shared their fears and phobias.

Unsurprisingly, spiders, snakes and creepy-crawlies sit atop that list, while others have admitted that the toughest struggle they anticipate enduring is being separated from their loved ones for potentially a full month.

Before the inevitable tantrums, tears and unspeakable culinary offerings (who could forget the crocodile testicles, live witchety grubs or fish eyes?), the new recruits have also opened up about what they anticipate on the show.

With Olympian Caitlyn, 70, revealing she’s ‘good at boiling water’ and former EastEnders star Jacqueline planning to offer a shoulder to cry on, the stars have shared what they’ll be bringing to the Camp in the coming weeks.

Former athlete Caitlyn competed on the American edition of the show several years ago, before her transition from Bruce, and as such, she has the advantage of knowing what to expect.

‘I did the US version of this and it was a very interesting experience last time I did it,’ she explained. ‘Being in the Jungle is certainly not easy and yes, it is totally back to basics but I thought this would be a great opportunity to leave everything behind for three weeks. Last time, it was almost like a cleansing of the soul!’

And while she claims she doesn’t have a fear of any animals or creepy crawlies, father-of-six Caitlyn hopes she’ll be something of a peace maker in the Camp, while also doing her fair share of the tasks.

She said: ‘I am definitely a peace maker and I do think I bring people together. I am also very handy making things and I am good at boiling water. I will also keep the fire going and when it starts raining, I will make little streams to go outside the camp rather than through it!’

Erstwhile Arsenal favourite Ian Wright admitted that he had rejected offers to appear on I’m A Celebrity several times, until speaking with fellow former footballer Harry Redknapp, who scooped the crown last year.

Friends reunited: Ant McPartlin, left, will return alongside pal Declan Donnelly, right, after a year’s break amid personal woes

Happy to be back: Ant told MailOnline ahead of the launch, ‘I’m very, very excited about getting back on the show, I missed it last year. It’s a brilliant place to work, a brilliant part of the world to be in and I’m back with my best friend. I can’t wait’

‘When I was first approached this year, we thought about it for ages as it is not something where you think “ah I will do that”, revealed Ian.

‘I have been asked to do it every year and every time, I have always thought I am definitely not doing that because there was more and more jeopardy involved. But I think the last series was one of the best I have seen in respect of camaraderie. Harry and I play golf together and we spoke about it.

‘He had a really great time, it was a fantastic thing for him to do and he is still talking about it to this day! Now it does appeal to me at this particular time. I like the vibe, it is a really cool show and I am really intrigued.’

Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway has admitted that she was forced to keep news of her participation on the show secret from her fellow presenters, who include Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.

Explaining her reasons, she said: ‘I can’t trust them to keep a secret… But I do think Ben Shepherd is going to be beyond delighted when he finds out as for years he has said “OMG I’d love to see you on the show. You are just so hilarious and I think you will be good”.

Wild West: The long-running ITV show’s brand new set was recently revealed to include an eye-catching Wild West theme

The news personality, who hopes to escape all talk of Brexit during her time in the Jungle added of Ben: ‘He thinks I will be incredibly useless and I know he will have great pleasure seeing me squirm.’

While there’s an influx of new faces on the show, fans will also be delighted to see the return of familiar faces, as Ant McPartlin, 43, will be returning to his co-hosting duties alongside Declan Donnelly, 44, after a year’s break.

Geordie TV personality Ant was replaced by Holly Willoughby, 38, last winter, as he took a break while battling his addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs.

Ant told MailOnline ahead of the launch: ‘I’m very, very excited about getting back on the show, I missed it last year. It’s a brilliant place to work, a brilliant part of the world to be in and I’m back with my best friend. I can’t wait.’

Dec vowed that the audience will be impressed with the line-up, adding: ‘This is our 19th series. We’ve been privy to a few of the names that are taking part this year. We’re very excited as it’s one of the best casts ever.’

Eek: Preparations for I’m A Celebrity’s High Rise Challenge were well underway on Saturday as a crew working for the hit ITV show erected two huge planks on top of a 32-storey building in Surfers Paradise on Queensland’s Gold Coast

This year’s incoming cast is in for a treat, as shots were recently unveiled of the brand new purpose-built set.

While the usual suspects are back – the infamous Celebrity Cyclone and the camp that the celebrity contestants will call home for three weeks – there are a few new additions to the set-up.

Pictured in aerial shots from the Australian jungle, a Wild West-type ghost town appears to be the setting of one challenge, as well as a boggy pond filled with black water… and probably plenty of other nasty surprises.

The behemoth task of setting up the annual reality series is well underway, with plenty of production cabins and trailers seen dotting the outback set.

There are the usual high-up zip-wire set-pieces for the stars to tackle in the Bush Tucker Trials – in which they compete for food for the Camp.

Sister show: I’m A Celebrity’s sister show Extra Camp will be returning to ITV2 with a new line-up that includes (L-R) regular host Joel Dommett, alongside last year’s runner up Emily Atack and 2016 Jungle favourite Adam Thomas

Some ominous-looking cages have been spied, likely containing all manner of creatures to be used in the trials – with the stars typically forced to swim, burrow, lie amongst and eat the likes of spiders, snakes and cockroaches.

The famous bridge on which the stars cross to take part in Bushtucker Trials is back in place.

Celebrities competing on the show will first be staying in the lavish Palazzo Versace hotel on the Gold Coast, only to swap this for spindly hammocks and a grotty dunny at the their jungle campsite.

But before their luxe-to-grubby transition, the stars will be required to endure a notoriously terrifying task before being abandoned in the Jungle.

Preparations for the show’s High Rise Challenge were well underway on Saturday as the crew erected two huge planks on top of a 32-storey building in Surfers Paradise on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

On duty: During Ant’s break from the show last year, Holly Willoughby proved to be a hit as she stepped in to co-host with Dec

The series splits the celebrities into two teams while each group takes it in turns to walk the plank 334 feet in the air until they reach the red light at the end, which they have to hold onto for a matter of seconds.

Recently unveiled photographs showed the 32-storey building transformed into a building site as a collection of scaffolding was erected on the rooftop.

Two red planks were seen dangling 334 feet in the air while silver towers surrounding them with cameras attached to capture every second of the celebrities’ challenge.

Last year’s line-up included the likes of Noel Edmonds, 70; Anne Hegerty, 61; Fleur East, 32, and Nick Knowles, 57.

Football player-turned-manager Harry Redknapp, 72, was ultimately crowned King of the Jungle, with Emily Atack, 29, and John Barrowman, 52, scooping second and third place, respectively.

Grubby grub: Harry Redknapp proved popular on the show last year, when he gamely participated in the Bushtucker Trials

Meanwhile, I’m A Celebrity’s sister show Extra Camp will be returning to ITV2 with a new line-up that includes regular host Joel Dommett, alongside last year’s runner up Emily Atack and 2016 Jungle favourite Adam Thomas.

The stars will be on hand to entertain viewers with behind-the-scenes gossip with unseen clips, exclusive interviews and the insiders guide to the dreaded Bushtucker Trials.

Comedian Joel, 33, said: ‘So excited to be heading back to the Jungle this year – this time with a new bunch of amigos. I can’t wait to show Emily around and keep reminding Adam that I beat him in 2016. It’s such a huge privilege to do this show and I truly love it. I can’t wait to find out who we are watching!’

Added actress Emily, 29: ‘I’m thrilled that I get to make more amazing memories in a place that means so much to me. I’ve loved working with Joel on Singletown, we’re like brother and sister, and Adam has got such amazing energy. The three of us are going to have the best time ever!’

Meanwhile, Adam enthused: ‘I can’t believe that I’m heading back to the Jungle, this is something I never saw coming my way! I’m so excited to be reunited with my campmate Joel and to also work alongside Emily. We’re going to have so much fun…just keep me away from those spiders!’

The 19th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is set to air from Sunday November 17th at 9pm on ITV.

Let it reign: The football player-turned-manager’s efforts proved fruitful, as he was ultimately crowned King of the Jungle
