Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and More Remember Late Co-Star James Michael Tyler

The cast members of ‘Friends’ take to social media to pay tribute to their former co-star as prayers and condolences pour in after he lost battle with cancer.

AceShowbizJennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have paid tribute to their “Friends” co-star James Michael Tyler following his death.

It was announced on Sunday (24Oct21) that the actor had passed away, aged 59, after losing his battle with cancer and, following the heartbreaking news, Jennifer was among the first to pay her respects.

“Friends would not have been the same without you. Thank you for the laughter you brought to the show and to all of our lives. You will be so missed #JamesMichaelTyler,” she wrote.

Tyler became a fan favourite in Friends through his portrayal of Gunther, who was secretly in love with Jennifer’s Rachel Green. The actress also posted a video from the 2004 finale of “Friends”, where Gunther finally tells Rachel he’s in love with her.

Meanwhile, Courteney also shared a tribute to Tyler on her Instagram page, writing, “The size of gratitude you brought into the room and showed every day on set is the size of the gratitude I hold for having known you. Rest In peace James.”

Matt LeBlanc added in a post on his Instagram, “We had a lot of laughs buddy. You will be missed. RIP my friend” while Lisa Kudrow wrote, “James Michael Tyler, we will miss you. Thank you for being there for us all.”

And Maggie Wheeler, who famously played Janice in the U.S. TV sitcom, commented on a post from the official “Friends” Instagram page, sharing, “So Grateful to have know this kind and gentle man. James Michael Tyler will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with his loved ones at this difficult time.”
