JoJo Siwa Says Goodbye To Instagram Comments: ‘Wow… Some People Can Be Mean’

JoJo Siwa is over it!

The Dance Moms star may have more than 8 million followers on Instagram right now, but it’s not worth it for her to hear from them any more — because a small bunch of ’em have gotten REALLY mean!

The dancer took to IG over the weekend to relay the message to fans and followers, revealing how when she checked her IG comments the last few days, a big batch of mean, rude, and bullying ones had helped her reach her limit!

The Dance Moms star — who also boasts nearly 10 million subscribers on YouTube, BTW — posted this pic (below) with the caption announcing no more comments:

Instagram comments are my favorite thing! Wait no that’s wrong. Normally I read comments and see nice things, people sending kind messages and saying positive words, late last night I decided to read some comments on my last Instagram post and wow… some people can be mean. So here’s a fun game, No more comments! ? JoJo

Cute pic! But the comments have gone TOO far…

And JoJo herself acknowledged that in the message she shared alongside the pic (below):

“Instagram comments are my favorite thing! Wait no that’s wrong. Wow!!!

So far, she’s kept her word quite nicely, keeping comments turned off for her most recent several posts after the big announcement. Good for her!!!

Fans commenting on the original post were definitely sad about the change, though. One wrote out in support of the 15-year-old dancer (below):

“Why is everyone hating on her? She’s a good influence and hasn’t done anything bad. She’s just living life why are you hating?”

While the encouragement continued from others, who wrote out in support of the policy change while calling out bullying around them (below):

“People that are rude, are not your kind of people. Keep shining JoJo, you are an amazing young lady!”

Amen to that, girl!

Obviously, getting a ton of mean comments is a little less than ideal… but it’s admirable how well JoJo has handled the entire thing!!

What do U think about all this, Perezcious readers?! Do Instagram commenters go too far sometimes — and did a few bad apples destroy the bunch here? Did they deserve to have JoJo take their beloved comment section away from ’em?!
