JWoww and 24 Are 'Not Together,' Says Jersey Shore's Deena Cortese

Deena references the “unfortunate events in the one episode.”

Despite what fans thought was just a week-long breakup following an explosive episode of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Zack Clayton Carpinello are not back together.

At least that’s what Jenni’s friend and co-star, Deena Cortese, says.

"I like him. It’s just unfortunate events in the one episode," Cortese told Us Weekly over the weekend. "Right now, they’re not together, but they’re working on it."

That "one episode" was enough to make Jenni call it quits with her pro wrestler boo of five months, who became known to her roommates by his age-inspired nickname, "24."

In the Oct. 10 episode, Zack was seen getting a bit too cozy with Jenni’s co-star, Angelina Pivarnick, while she was dancing close to him at a nightclub. Jenni was technically present for the dancing and flirty behavior but was admittedly "blacked out."

Zack subsequently told his girlfriend that Angelina kissed him (though cameras showed what appeared to be a consensual, three-way kiss involving Jenni), while Angelina maintained Zack "grabbed" her hip/butt area in a way that made her feel "uncomfortable."

After the episode aired, and JWoww saw for herself what happened at the club, she took to Instagram to slam both her co-star and her boyfriend, before breaking things off with the latter.

"After seeing tonight’s episode I’m pretty hurt," she wrote at the time. "I feel disrespected by someone I called a friend and by someone who stated they loved me. For 5 months I was kept in the dark about this. For 5 months I was naive, probably laughed at and made into a story line that will forever haunt me. My heart hurts on so many levels. One thing I learned from tonight’s episode is know your value. Don’t ever lower your standards."

Hours after Farley shared her feelings on the matter, Carpinello publicly apologized to his ex and to Pivarnick.

"I made mistakes that I cannot take back, which I take responsibility for," he wrote, also on Instagram. "Jenni does not deserve any damage from anybody else. This is on me. I sincerely apologize to Jenni. I apologize to Angelina as well. I love Jenni, with everything I have, I make this known to her every day. I will continue to make this known to her and her kids, who also have my heart. I will make it certain that nothing like this ever happen again, in any way regardless of the outcome."

A little over a week later, Jenni and Zack were photographed hanging out in Universal Studios Florida, with a source telling TMZ that the two were trying to work things out.
