Katie Price breaks silence after pleading guilty to breaching restraining order

Katie Price has broken her silence with a post on social media just hours after pleading guilty to breaching a restraining order on Wednesday May 25.

The former glamour model shared a picture of herself posing with one of her horses, accompanied by the caption: “Having my horses back at home is the best thing ever back to my safe place my passion.”

The post marked the first one made by the model since she appeared at Lewes Crown Court charged with breaching a restraining order against her ex husband Kieran Hayler’s girlfriend, Michelle Penticost.

The 43 year old star had initially pleaded not guilty in magistrates court back in April, instead requesting that she be tried in Crown Court, however today’s appearance marked a change of plea, with Katie now pleading guilty to the offence.

The case stems from an abusive tirade of messages that she sent to ex Kieran, that read: "Tell your c****** w***e, piece of s**t, girlfriend not to start on me.

"She has a restraining order so shouldn't try to antagonise me as she is in breach and I'm sure she doesn't want people knowing that she was having an affair with you behind my back. That gutter s**g.”

Although the message was directed to Kieran and not to Michelle, the reference of “Tell your” meant that Katie had breached a restraining order that was in place that stopped her from making contact with Michelle.

Had it not been for these two words, Katie’s legal team argued that the message in itself would not have breached the order.

At today’s hearing, Judge Stephen Mooney acknowledged that Katie had taken responsibility for her actions, but did warn the star that she was "at risk of going to prison".

He said: "Clearly you have accepted responsibility for an offence."

“You have pleaded guilty and you are aware that you committed that offence while you were subject to a suspended sentence and you are at risk of going to prison.

“Your lawyer says there is a lot of information relating to the background of this offence and the offence which led to you receiving the suspended sentence.

“I will need to know about the relevant parts of the background.

“Be under no illusions, I am adjourning for a pre-sentence report but you do run the risk of receiving a custodial sentence.

She faces a maximum sentence of five years in jail when she returns for sentencing on June 24.
