Kelsey Parkers bittersweet holiday plans as she prepares for first annual trip without Tom

Kelsey Parker is preparing for her summer holiday to Cornwall, yet in a recent Instagram story she told fans that this year will be “a little bit bittersweet” as it is the first time the family will be going without Tom.

“Cornwall will be a little bit bittersweet this year because obviously we do this holiday every single year and this will be the first time that we don’t do it with Tom," she said.

"I think it will be hard but I definitely need a week’s break and to just have a drink and have loads of fun with my family.”

The mother-two shares daughter Aurelia, three, and son Bodhi, one, with the late Tom Parker who died in March aged 33 after an 18-month battle with brain cancer.

During the Instagram clip the 33-year-old jokes with her children that they will be having an early start tomorrow. “I was just telling Rae and Bodhi that they are going to have to be put in the car at four in the morning!”

When asked if he will go back to sleep, he declares “No, I’m going to stay awake!”

Throughout Tom’s diagnosis the couple became known as the ‘Positive Parker’s’ and since The Wanted singer’s passing Kelsey has vowed to celebrate her husband’s life and remain positive.

Looking forward to the holiday she said “It’s going to be really good I can’t wait to actually get to Cornwall. There’s going to be about five families that we actually go away with which will be really nice.”

Kelsey has received incredible support from friends, family and fans, revealing on Loose Women that she has “an army of people” supporting her and as a mum has to stay strong, “I feel strong, I have the kids. I have to wake up each day.”

Earlier in August she hosted an incredible family fun day charity event in memory of Tom.

The event was held at Memorial Hall & Gardens in Petts Wood and included a 5k walk followed by a host of live performances and activities. It took place on the 7 August, three days after what would have been Tom’s 34th birthday.

Those in attendance included Kelsey’s friend EastEnders star Louisa Lytton and husband Ben Bhanvra as well as TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent who also performed at the event with his band, The Arg Band.

So far Kelsey has revealed that the event has raised an amazing £13,000 for Ahead of the Game Foundation, a charity founded in 2021 by Dave Bolton who was diagnosed with the same type of cancer that Tom battled.
