Kerry Katona ridicules 2008 This Morning interview by recreating the snapshot

Kerry Katona has left fans in stitches with her latest Instgagram post.

The 38-year-old delighted her followers after she hilariously recreated a clip from her controversial This Morning interview which aired back in 2008, after getting her teeth extracted.

Kerry took to Instagram to share a snap from the dentist after having her 'dirty rotten teeth taken out' and compared her groggy-eyed expression to her medication-induced appearance on the show 12 years ago.

Sharing the snapshot of the moment she had just come around for the procedure, Kerry wrote:

"So this is me after having my dirty rotten teeth taken out yesterday! everytime I look at this pic I just p**s myself laughing!!!! Don’t think they knew what to do with me."

The reality star then appeared to discover an even more hilarious side to the candid snap as she found resemblance between that and her sensitive This Morning stint.

"Some things never change if you can’t laugh at yourself what can you do! thought I’d get there first!!!! after being sedated @the.sandford fun times", she wrote alongside the hilarious snap.

During the controversial interview, which was hosted by Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford at the time, Kerry appeared to be slurring her words and seemed to be very out of sorts.

In the middle of the awkward chat, Phillip asked the former Atomic Kitten star: "If I'm honest you don't seem right to me. You're speech is slurred. How are you feeling?"

To which Kerry replied: "I'm on medication at night time. This is going to be made as a huge publicity thing."

Ruth, who presented the show at the time, asked about a recent magazine photo shoot as said: "The interview did say you'd only go in the early hours of the morning, you'd had quite a bit to drink."

"It said you went to get ready with a bottle of champagne. They wanted you to jump in the pool and you were tempted after they said you'd have a shot afterwards."

A number of years later, Kerry reflected on the controversial interview and admitted that she was in a very dark place at the time.

Appearing on the same show in 2010, she confessed: "That wasn't me back then. I was in a very dark dark place, I was on a lot of heavy medication, I was in a very unhappy marriage, and I was taking drugs."

"I was on 350mg of chlorpromazine, which I took at quarter to twelve the night before, and every morning my speech would be very slur, and it'd wear off in the afternoon."

The 38-year-old Celebs Go Dating star also admitted that the thought of her children watching that interview back mortifies her.

"I wasn't a good person then. And it's hard to watch it back, it's hard, oh my God [to think that] my kids are going to have to watch this when they grow up."

This comes after Kerry hit back at her ex husband Brian McFadden's cruel claim that their kids are "sick of being bridesmaids" for her.

The former Atomic Kitten star reminded Brian that they both have been married three times, so they are equal.

She did, however, add that he was probably right that her children are probably fed up of weddings.

Brian is preparing to marry PE teacher Danielle Parkinson, and he told OK! Magazine that his daughters Molly, 18, and Lily, 16, would not be bridesmaids.

They’ve been bridesmaids for their mother about five times already so they’re probably sick of it," he said.

"There’s only so many times you can be a bridesmaid. They must be thinking, ‘Not another f***ing wedding!’"
