Lamar Odom Says He's 'Definitely Moved On' From Khloe Kardashian as He Gushes Over New Girlfriend
The former reality star also denies the Kardashians put him under a “spell.”
Lamar Odom is opening up about his relationship with his new girlfriend Sabrina Parr and reflecting on his most famous ex.
In a recent interview with Dish Nation, the former NBA star, 39, was asked about his new romance with the personal trainer, 32, as well as his highly publicized marriage to Khloe Kardashian.
Despite skepticism, Odom claimed he has "definitely moved on" from Khloe, who he was legally married to from 2009 until 2016. The two actually split three years earlier.
During a "Rapid Fire" segment of the interview, Odom was asked about his feelings for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, after the former professional athlete had expressed he still cared for his ex in his memoir, "Darkness to Light."
"I’ve definitely moved on," Odom said.
When asked if the Kardashian family put him under a "spell," Odom said, "Hell no. I’m here and I’m alert. I’m present."
"I knew what I was getting myself into," he added. "They always did right by me."’
Khloe and Odom married in 2009, just one month after they met. Four years later, the couple split and their divorce was finalized in 2016.
Though he didn’t say too much about Khloe, he didn’t hold anything back when talking about his romance with Parr.
"What makes this relationship different from previous relationships?" host Gary Hayes asked. Odom replied, "It’s the truth. She’s black."
"When a black woman comes along, ain’t playing," Hayes joked and Parr added, "Oh no, I was not playing at all."
"Yeah, she keeps it real," Odom added.
Hayes then asked Parr what made her give Odom "a chance," despite his rough past, which included sex and drug addiction as well as his near-fatal overdose in 2015.
Odom answered first and said, "Sometimes pain, I think, attracts women. The pain I’ve been through."
However, according to Parr, Odom’s pain isn’t what drew her to him. "That wasn’t my story, I wasn’t attracted to the pain and the drama," she said. "You have to meet people where they are."
The life coach added, "He was never in a position to be someone’s husband, you know? He was sick, he needed to heal, he needed to grieve. He experienced a lot of losses. And he never had time to go through that."

Earlier this month, Odom was attacked by trolls on Instagram after he praised his new relationship with Parr. Haters claimed his post was a diss at Khloe and that he was shading Khloe’s race.
It all began when Odom shared a photo of Parr along with a quote from Malcolm X.
"It’s just like when you’ve got some coffee that’s too black, which means it’s too strong, what do you do? You integrate it with cream… But if you pour too much cream in it, you won’t even know you ever had coffee," the quote read. "It used to be hot, it becomes cool. It used to be strong, it becomes weak. It used to wake you up, now it puts you to sleep." Odom added the hashtag "#blackroyalty."
After he received backlash in the comments, Odom shared another photo of Parr and expressed that his previous post was to praise his new relationship, not a means to compare his current girlfriend to his ex.
