Lionel Richie Tops Billboard’s Artist 100 Chart

Lionel Richie has topped Billboard‘s Artist 100 chart as his latest live album, Hello From Las Vegas, debuted at No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200.

Billboard says Richie becomes the third act to debut at No. 1 this year, after Tool and The Raconteurs. It is for the first time Richie has become the top musical act in the U.S. since the list’s launch in 2014.

Richie’s new live album, Hello From Las Vegas, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, with 65,000 equivalent album units. The album was Richie’s sixth solo top 10 and first since 2012’s Tuskegee.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish continues to hold steady at No. 2 on the Artist 100, while Taylor Swift jumped from 16th spot to 3rd position as “Lover,” the title track from her new album debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart.
