Lucy Verasamy: ITV weather star wows as she returns to Instagram after ‘unusual start’

Lucy Verasamy caused a stir when she updated her 100,000 Instagram followers with a snap of herself at a prestigious London event. The ITV Weather favourite cut a summery figure as she posed in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. The 38-year-old was inundated with compliments after returning to the picture-sharing app after weeks with very few updates and snaps of her outfits. She shared not one but two shots of her day, where she handed out awards to Duke of Edinburgh participants.

It wasn’t the usual start to the week

Lucy was in good company with both Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in attendance for the garden party.

She wrote to her fans: “It wasn’t the usual start to the week: a morning at Buckingham Palace #ClassOf2019.

“Presenting gold @dofeuk awards – stoic students, sunny skies and a full on brass band playing Bond theme tunes. Floaty florals: @beulahlondon.”

The first image saw her standing with a huge smile and hand on her hip, sporting a pale blue wrap dress.

The number featured short sleeves, a vibrant orange and yellow print and navy detailing on her waist.

Lucy carried a black clutch bag and accessorised with simple earrings, while wearing her dark tresses down in a voluminous ‘do.

A second upload saw her chatting to DoE students in front of the iconic royal building in the sunshine.

“Lucy you always look stunningly beautiful and eloquent and elegant and stylish, breathtakingly attractive, classy. Your the only reason I watch ITV,”(sic) she was told by one.

Two others agreed: “Classy elegant Lucy… Good to see you back on Instagram,” and: “Lucy you look so beautiful.”

“Well you most certainly brightened up my day,” a fourth stated.

The last snap Lucy shared of herself on Instagram was a month ago – on April 19 – when she was seen filming in the capital.

“Easter weekend work-life,” she stated, alongside a number of emojis including a camera and a sun image.

Lucy teamed a white T-shirt with a navy blazer, and sported round sunglasses on top of her head.

Meanwhile, it comes just days after Lucy Verasamy issued a major weather warning, saying she had “not seen this in a while”.

She tweeted a map of the UK, which showed heavy downpours getting ready to sweep the whole of the nation.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
