Oprah Winfrey Dragged by Anti-Vaxxers Over Her Vaccine Policy for Holiday Gathering

Accusing the TV mogul of violating people’s freedom of choice, one of her Instagram followers says, ‘Have always been a big Oprah fan until I just saw this post.’

AceShowbizOprah Winfrey held holiday parties for her family and friends ahead of Christmas, and they were welcomed to the bash as long as they followed the rules. For the private party, the TV mogul required her guests to be vaccinated, tested and quarantined considering the rising cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19 across the United States.

“Everyone who is spending Christmas at my house has to be vaccinated, boosted, tested, and quarantined,” Oprah wrote on Instagram on Friday, December 24 alongside a video from the bash. “Stedman calls it ‘The Policy’ cause I’m that serious about it.”

She went on to note in the caption, “This was release day for our bubble and we knew we had to throw a welcome celebration for Baby Luca, who none of us had met yet!” She referred to Gayle King‘s grandson who was born in September.

“We missed his grandma @gayleking but she’ll join us once she completes the policy! Thank you to @bonfortunestyle and @anasballooncreations for helping bring the fun to Baby Luca’s first time at my house. Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone,” Oprah concluded her message.

While many praised Oprah for implementing the safe protocol amid the COVID-19 pandemic, some others blasted the TV personality for the rules. “I keep hearing about people refusing to see friends and family who are ‘not being careful enough.’ Guys, it’s not April 2020. And why did you get vaccinated so many times if you don’t trust it?” one Twitter user questioned.

“I just saw Oprah’s IG post bragging about ‘The Policy’ (vaxxed, boosted, quarantined, tested) for her Christmas and feel so betrayed that she is advocating this,” another person agreed.

Another critic wrote, “My family is mixed. Vaxxed and y vaxxed. We don’t really even ask about it or take in to consideration. We never stopped celebrating during all this. So far we have had no issues. Family is family. To each his or her own though.” Accusing Oprah of violating people’s freedom of choice, one of her followers commented, “Have always been a big Oprah fan until I just saw this post…Freedom of choice.”

“But do you turn your back on close family who don’t believe? Tearing families apart,” someone else penned. “Sad that you are supporting and continuing this nonsense – I would have thought you were smarter then this,” another comment read.

Meanwhile, someone else was more focused on Oprah’s massive property. “lol so people are upset because @Oprah decided to have a policy for her family at home for Christmas…. People are people-ing.. I look at the post and think damn… Oprah’s property is huuuuugggeeeee…,” said the person.
