Peter Andre teases new music as he heads to studio with Love Islands Wes Nelson

Peter Andre has teased a return to music and suggested a collaboration with former Love Island star Wes Nelson could be in the works.

The Mysterious Girl singer posted a series of photos alongside Wes, who found fame on Love Island in 2018 but later launched a music career, to his Instagram Stories on Monday night.

In the first photo, Peter, 48, is seen posing alongside Wes, 23, and producer Ayo Beatz from what looks to be a music studio.

The dad-of-four captioned the image: “What a day…”

In other photos, he also tagged director Fred Nwaka and recording engineer Aidan Cunningham at the Rebel Records recording studio, making it seem like a creative project is definitely in the works.

The independent record label in London proudly displays Peter's eldest son Junior Andre, 16, as one of their artists in their Instagram bio.

Love Island’s Wes Nelson competed in The X Factor Celebrity in October 2019 as part of a group called No Love Lost, composed of fellow former Love Island stars Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott and Eyal Booker.

The following year, Wes announced that he had signed a solo record deal with EMI Records and in September 2020, he released his debut single, See Nobody, with Hardy Caprio, which peaked at No. 3.

Wes then released his second single, Nice to Meet Ya featuring Yxng Bane, which hit No.18 in the charts.

Meanwhile, Peter's musical heyday was back in the 1990s, when his best-known hit Mysterious Girl peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart in 1996.

His music career seems to have been on his mind lately, as Peter recently shared some throwback photos from the 90s to social media, much to the delight of fans.

The photos included one of Peter shirtless with wild bedhead hair and another of the star wearing an oversized leather jacket with gelled hair as he poses next to 90s pop band Deuce alongsideLisa Armstrong.

Captioning the images, Peter wrote: “Old and new throwbacks for no reason at all :)))

"Question : what group am I standing with in picture number two. Only 90s true fans will remember:)."

Loving the random throwback photos, one fan wrote: “The first picture is killing me! I have to know… what was the morning hair regime?”

Another added: “Oh dear god hun….. this has me howling we’ve all been there with the hair….. fabulous memories x”
