Post Malone a ‘sweetheart,’ despite face tats, Sublime bassist says

He’s not as bad as all tat.

A new pal of Post Malone says we shouldn’t be scared of the rapper, despite his trademark facial tattoos.

Malone performed Monday at the Cutting Room with former Sublime bass player Eric Wilson as part of his backing band. And Wilson told Page Six that he wasn’t familiar with the hot rapper before their collaboration at the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour gig — but that he was pleasantly surprised.

“I don’t listen to the radio, to be honest, so I didn’t know who he was until we started learning his songs,” Wilson told Page Six. “I started to really enjoy his music … Don’t let the tattoos scare all you normal people away. He’s a sweetheart.”

Wilson’s regular gig, Sublime with Rome — which plays songs from his former band with new guitarist and singer Rome Ramirez — will be touring through the rest of the summer into fall.
