Rebel Wilson’s Relationship History Is Mysterious With A Side Of Happily Ever After

One of the most likable and endearing aspects of Rebel Wilson is that she’s a down-to-earth, take-no-sh*t, say-what’s-she’s-feeling kind of gal. And yet, while she’s super upfront about her life as a comedian and actor, Rebel Wilson’s relationship history is mysterious. On Feb. 2, Wilson announced the end of her romance with Anheuser-Busch brewing company heir Jacob Busch, and though it’s not clear what happened, it seems clear to me Wilson is single and ready to mingle.

After just about five months of dating in the public spotlight, Wilson and her latest BF called it quits, and Wilson announced the sad news on Instagram. Alongside a photo of herself in denim dress and yellow cardigan, Wilson wrote, "Lots on my mind…aghhhhhh…#single-girl-heading-to-Super-Bowl!" The same day, Page Six reported that sources close to the actor believe the relationship had "just run its course." Busch has yet to comment on the breakup himself. Womp, womp.

Busch isn’t the first person Wilson has romanced, and I have a feeling he won’t be the last. And though the Pitch Perfect actor doesn’t often discuss her love life with the media, here’s what I know about the men she dated before her whirlwind relationship with Busch.

Mickey Gooch Jr., 2015

Actor and producer Mickey Gooch Jr. is Wilson’s earliest known ex. It’s not clear how the two met, but Wilson and Gooch did work together on the set of 2016’s How to be Single, so it’s possible they connected on set. Over the course of their brief relationship, the two attended a hockey game together, and Wilson shared a pic from the game in a (since-deleted) IG post in May 2015.

A few months later in September 2015, a source for Entertainment Tonight reportedly confirmed their breakup, saying, "They got to the point where they both realized the attraction really wasn’t there anymore and they would be better off as friends. Rebel told him she didn’t want to continue with the relationship if she didn’t see it moving any further than where it is now — and Mickey agreed."

Wilson and Gooch were reportedly seen hanging out in New York City in August 2017, per the Daily Mail, and they were also seen together in May 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival amfAR gala, so it seems there’s no bad blood between the two exes.

Aden Stay, 2017

Wilson was first linked to stuntman Aden Stay after they were reportedly spotted having dinner together in Los Angeles in March 2017, per the Daily Mail. The two then seemingly confirmed their relationship Wilson brought Stay as her date to the 2017 MTV Movie Awards in May. It’s unclear when or why the two ended their rumored romance.

Jeff Beacher, 2019

In May 2019, Wilson sparked dating rumors with Jeff Beacher, the founder Beacher Media Group, after she posted a (since-deleted) snap of them at Disney World together on Instagram. Wilson made her first appearance on his grid six months earlier in December 2018, but — just like with Stay — it’s unclear when or why Wilson and the entrepreneur ended their maybe-relationship.

Jacob Busch, 2019 & 2020-2021

A few months before her Disney trip with Stay, Wilson and Busch reportedly went to see a theater performance of Cats in Hollywood — and apparently, it wasn’t their first date, either. "They met through mutual friends at a Hollywood bungalow, like, a month ago and their first date was at Catch restaurant in Santa Monica," a source for Radar Online reportedly claimed at the time. "She makes him laugh and he cannot get enough of her!"

However, the two weren’t spotted again until August 2020, when Wilson and Busch attended British TV presenter Carly Steel’s wedding to Jacob Andreou, the vice president of product at Snapchat, in Beverly Hills. A month later, Wilson took Busch as her date to Prince Albert II’s fourth annual Monte-Carlo Gala for Planetary Health in Monaco, and a source for People reportedly claimed they were "officially boyfriend and girlfriend." According to the source, Wilson and Busch were reportedly first introduced by a friend in 2019, and they kept up a flirty correspondence while Wilson quarantined in Australia and Busch stayed in Los Angeles during the coronavirus pandemic. Reportedly, the relationship became more serious after Wilson returned to L.A. and reunited with Busch.

The couple continued sharing cute pics from their trips to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and Aspen, Colorado, but in February 2021, Wilson confirmed their breakup when she declared herself a "single girl" in an IG caption. Soon after, a source claimed to Us Weekly that Wilson reportedly broke up with Busch over text. "They talked all throughout the holidays and had excellent communication, but then, all of a sudden, she got really quiet and broke up with him via text message about two or three weeks ago," the insider reportedly claimed. (Elite Daily previously reached out to Wilson’s rep for comment on the claim but didn’t hear back.)

Here’s hoping Wilson is enjoying herself as a single girl at the moment.
