Rose Ayling-Ellis could quit EastEnders for high-profile projects after Strictly win

Rose Ayling-Ellis is reportedly expected to quit EastEnders after winning Strictly Come Dancing.

Actress Rose, 27, plays Danny Dyer's character Mick Carter's daughter Frankie Lewis on the soap.

Rose, who was praised by Danny after her win, joined the soap in May 2020 and just over a year after her soap debut, she signed up to Strictly Come Dancing.

She then took some time away from the soap to focus on rehearsing for Strictly with her dance partner Giovanni and the pair went on to win the series.

Rose is expected to return to the soap next month, but following her incredible success of the series, Rose could now reportedly to leave Albert Square for "high-profile projects".

Rose is said to have already been lined up for exciting opportunities and EastEnders cast and crew are reportedly expected the star to "get itchy feet", with her predicted to have her eyes set on Hollywood, The Sun has reported.

But, a spokesperson for EastEnders has insisted: "There is no truth in this.

"Rose has no intention to quit EastEnders and is very much looking forward to filming again in the New Year."

It comes after Rose opened up about combining her acting career with her efforts to help the deaf community by shattering stereotypes.

She said: "The conversations has been around 'How do deaf people hear the music?'

"Well now we know let’s move on and talk about more important issues.

"One in four hearing people have mental health issues, but one in two deaf people have mental health issues.

"The suicide rate is quite high, because the mental health services aren’t even accessible.

"You go to your therapist but they don’t have interpreters there, or when you go to the doctors they don’t provide you with an interpreter.

"Or it’s not very private so people just avoid going. People avoid getting help because it’s not accessible. Everyone just does the bare minimum and that’s really annoying. I don’t want the bare minimum anymore. I want more."

Rose was a firm favourite to win Strictly within weeks of the competition kicking off. Herself and Giovanni left viewers speechless with their touching silent dance during the series.

She was crowned the Strictly Come Dancing winner after competing against Great British Bake Off star John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

John, 32, has since gushed over Rose as he shared a photo of the pair on Instagram and wrote in the caption: "I’m so proud to have been even up there with this girl. I’m sure you’ll agree she’s a remarkable human being, a barrier breaker, and a very worthy winner.

"Congratulations @rose.a.e and @pernicegiovann1."
