“Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter,” they wrote in the tweet beside a hatched chick emoji.

It was this festive message that sparked a debate between onlookers who felt Kate and William should be directing their kind words to Meghan and Harry.

In response, a Twitter user defended The Duchess of Cambridge claiming she prefers to keep her personal life private.

“Because it would end up all over the news since the Duchess of Sussex believes privacy only applies to things she says and everything else is fair game but the Duchess of Cambridge prefers to not advertise personal issues in the press,” they wrote.

Another follower replied to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Easter tweet urging them to ‘speak’ to Harry and Meghan ‘with love’.

“Thank you! If you're honest you know that Harry & Meghan are part of your inner family,” they wrote. “So you should speak to them, with love, not only if right or not to get them back.”

“I guess a lot they'll have felt like they said,” the spectator continued. “I learned it's not important what I did but how others then feel.”

Other royal fans were just delighted that Kate and William had sent an Easter message from their joint twitter account.

“Happy Easter to you all,” a follower beamed. “I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy day.”

“Happy Easter to you all as well,” another gushed. “Thank you for everything you have done for the Country during the Pandemic, it is very much appreciated.”

Social media users encouraging Kate and Harry to make amends on their Easter tweet comes after the jaw dropping interview with Harry, Meghan and Oprah Winfrey.

It was during the TV interview that Meghan claimed it was in fact Kate who made her cry during their famous fall out over bridesmaids dresses.

Meghan and Harry also accused a member of ‘The Firm’ of asking how dark their son Archie’s skin would be before he was born.

A royal expert recently told OK! how Prince William's fallout with his brother Harry is the hardest thing the royal has gone through since the tragic death of his mother Princess Diana.
