Sam and Billie Faiers admit theyd have a baby anyway if partners were unsure

Sam and Billie Faiers have admitted they would "have a baby anyway" – even if their partners Greg Shepherd and Paul Knightley were not on board.

The Faiers sisters made the confession on their joint podcast and discussed how women have less options to have a child than men do.

Sam, 31, is mum to son Paul, six, and daughter Rosie, four, and is currently pregnant with her third child. She shares all her children with her partner Paul Knightley.

Meanwhile, Billie shares daughter Nelly, seven, and four year old Arthur with husband Greg.

On The Sam & Billie Show podcast, the pair were asked by a listener what the ideal age for having children was.

Sam, who had her first baby at 24, said: "That’s a tricky one because we had ours quite young. I fell pregnant with little Paul almost six months after meeting Big Paul. How quick is that?"

While Billie, who fell pregnant at 22 and had daughter Nellie when she was 23, admitted she felt at the time she was ready to be a mum, but now it "feels really young".

Billie, 32, then added: "I think this is the kind of thing that can put a lot of strain on relationships, because if one of you is ready and the other isn’t, then who is in the right to take over?"

Sam then added: "But as a woman you are limited with your time, with eggs, fertility. Men aren’t really. Didn’t Bernie Ecclestone have a baby in his nineties recently? Men can just keep going. It’s different for women.

"Being a woman, you’re carrying the baby. Guys you haven’t got to carry the baby for nine months. You can carry on doing your thing. You haven’t got to push."

Mum-of-two Billie, who recently felt her sister's baby kicking for the first time, then suggested: "I think if I was in that situation and I really wanted to have a baby and my partner wasn’t so sure, I think I’d probably just do it anyway."

Sam then asked: "What a trap" to which Billie said: "Yes, a baby trap. No I’m being totally honest, because at the end of the day if you’re ready, do it. There’s never a right time. It’s always a shock to the system."

And the soon-to-be mum-of-three Sam replied: "They’ll get over it and then they’ll love that baby more than anything in the world. I don’t know if that’s the right advice but we’re putting it out there."
