Samantha Giles has confessed she had a part to play in pal Sharon Marshall falling pregnant with her first and only child.

The actress, who plays Bernice Blackstock on the popular soap opera Emmerdale, spoke exclusively to OK! about her keen abilities to cast spells and charms as a self-proclaimed witch.

The 48 year old explained that Sharon came to her for help during her seventh round of IVF after six unsuccessful rounds left her heartbroken.

She explained: "It was fantastic because she came to me for help after her seventh round of IVF."

Samantha instructed Sharon get a Menalite crystal, which is a mineral that's commonly known to help women get in touch with their 'feminine essence' and is known as the fertility rock.

"I told her to get a piece of Menalite crystal and put it under her mattress or pillow," she said.

And it obviously worked because after falling pregnant Samantha went out and bought Sharon a charm to ensure she had a safe and comfortable nine months before welcoming her daughter Betsey, now one.

She continued: "I also got her a 'change your luck' charm and she had a healthy pregnancy. She bought about 10 for different friends and I’m pretty sure they have all worked.

"I’ve done lots of spells for different people in the public eye but they’re confidential."

Samantha, who is mum to two daughters Evelyn, 11, and Olivia, nine, also opened up about other spells she's cast throughout her life, including one she did right before she met the love of her life, Nick Moore.

Admitting her use of witchcraft in the situation, she said: "Yes, and I met him three months after the spell. It’s about things being aligned.

"Sometimes people say to me, 'I put this thought out there and it didn’t work!' But sometimes things aren’t in the right place so you have to let them go until it’s time."

While she's become accustomed to tuning in to her abilities, she says she won't be using them to land a dream role after leaving her character on Emmerdale behind.

"I find it hard to put spells out for that, but I feel like something is coming. I don’t know what or when, but it’s coming."
