Samie Elishis Love Island BFFs rally round amid cancer scare found thanks to show

Samie Elishi's friends have rallied round her after she shared a video detailing a recent cancer scare and her break-up from Tom Clare.

On Friday, the Love Island beauty took to YouTube to express her gratitude for fans messaging her to say they spotted a lump on her neck during the series.

Samie has now had the lump checked and is facing an operation as doctors are unsure whether it could be cancerous.

And while Samie broke down in tears during the video, she was soon cheered up by her Love Island pals Claudia Fogarty and Lana Jenkins during a fun lunch out.

The girls were seen having a blast and dancing as Samie filmed them while laughing in the background.

Later, Samie and Claudia enjoyed a car ride, where the brunette told viewers: "I'm sorry, but me and Claudia are the unluckiest women in the f***ing world. Her car has just been smashed in."

"We have each other," she added. "That's all that matters because we're going through a lot right now."

Claudia later took to her own Instagram Stories as she shared a screenshot of Samie's video with the caption: "So emotional to watch but I am always so proud of you @samieelishi. I love you always," along with a white heart emoji.

Ellie Spence added: "My little soldier. I'm so proud of you."

This comes after Samie expressed gratitude to fans for spotting the lump on her neck.

Speaking in a video uploaded to her YouTube on Friday, the 22 year old said she has a 5cm lump in her thyroid area which is, unfortunately, cause for concern.

Samie explained: "Thank god so many people were in my DMs because I've been having ongoing tests for it."

She revealed that medical professionals have graded her lump a three, "which means that they can't tell for sure if it's cancerous or not". She will now have half of her thyroid removed with surgery, which will allow surgeons to see if it is cancerous. If it is cancerous, she will then need the other half removed.

Samie, who said she was worried about her healing and how her voice might change, told fans she would share her journey because she wants to help others, and it's so "important we all know about these things".

"What you think might be nothing, might be something," Samie said, adding that she will do a separate video on when she wraps her head around what the surgery entails.
