Kimberley Walsh has revealed her Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding sent her flowers following the birth of her newborn son Nate.

Exclusively opening up about the gifts she has received from her bandmates since welcoming her son Nate Jackson Scott into the world last month, Kimberley told OK! Sarah, who is battling breast cancer, sent her a “gorgeous bouquet of flowers”.

The 39 year old told us of her former Girls Aloud bandmates: “Cheryl and Nicola [Roberts] have come over.

"Nadine [Coyle] texted me the other day saying her little girl has put together a box of things for him, so she’s going to pop round, which will be lovely.

“Sarah [Harding] obviously can’t get down at the moment but she sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and we’ve been texting. I’ve sent her loads of pictures.”

Kimberley continued: “It’s really nice to share the joy with them and have another one in the mix. We’re planning a barbecue and to get all the kids together over the summer holidays.”

The singer also hailed Sarah, 39, a “superhero” for the way she has dealt with her diagnosis and spoke of how proud she is of the star for releasing her autobiography, Hear Me Out.

She told OK!: “I really am [proud]. She’s literally a superhero for dealing with what she’s going through and managing to release her book.

"I’m just here for her with absolutely anything she needs and she knows that, it’s important to know you have support and are loved.

"And that’s the most important thing to me right now. I’m just focusing on being there for her.”

The Girls Aloud girls have rallied around Sarah ever since she discovered her advanced cancer diagnosis.

Sarah shared her diagnosis in August and revealed the cancer had spread throughout her body.

Announcing the news on Instagram Sarah, who has previously said Christmas 2020 would be her last, wrote: "Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.

"I’m currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can. I understand this might be shocking to read on social media and that really isn’t my intention.

"But last week it was mentioned online that I had been seen in hospital, so I feel now is the time to let people know what’s going on and this is the best way I can think of to do so."

She continued: "My amazing mum, family and close friends are helping me through this, and I want to say a thank you to the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.

"I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I’m getting on.”
