Anton Du Beke, 55, reacted after he was “papped” by a camera yesterday at a dance studio. The former Strictly professional was snapped by broadcast agent Melissa Chappell in a get-up that was worlds away from the glitz and glam that his fans have come to expect.

Yesterday Melissa tweeted out: “I fear he may never forgive me, but the unthinkable happened today. 

“I saw @theAntonDuBeke in a hoody! And trainers! And no tie!!!” she added with a flushed face emoji. 

She then went on to promote Anton’s live show with former Strictly professional dancer partner Erin Boag.

Below she attached two pictures of Anton working on his dance moves.

The usually suave-looking star was caught in grey sweatpants, a dark draw-string hoodie and some bright blue trainers.

Anton retweeted the post to his 276,600 followers with three laughing emojis.

“I think I may have been ‘papped’!” he wrote, before adding: “#stillgotit”. 

“I’m not sure I shall ever be able to forgive you!” he added under Melissa’s original post with another laughing emoji. 

Fans were quick to rush to the comments to reassure Anton that he did indeed still have it.

Ellen Bartlett commented: “You still look absolutely amazing”.

“Anton looks lovely whatever he wears!” added NUMBER ONE LFC FAN.

“The end of civilisation as we know it,” joked A J Machin with a cheeky wink.

“… But he STILL looks fabulous !!! X,” added Angela C with dancing and partying emojis.

Under Melissa’s post Danny Kelly joked: “For one terrible moment there, Melissa, I thought Spurs had signed him! 

“#COYS (in my defence I was up all night watching NFL).”

Melissa replied: “I’ve managed to persuade both of his children to be Spurs fans but I think signing him would be taking it a step too far! 

“Although he does always tell me he was a nifty player in his time,” she admitted with a laughing emoji. 

Anton lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife Hannah Summers, whom he married in 2017.

The pair share four-year-old twins George and Henrietta, who were born that same year.
