The Queen has ‘special surprise’ for Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they celebrate birthdays in lockdown

The Queen is said to have a “sweet plan” to make sure her great-grandchildren, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte, don’t miss out on their birthday celebrations while in lockdown.

Like many of us, members of the royal family are self-isolating at home, with Louis and Charlotte’s parents Kate Middleton and Prince William working from home.

The Queen is said to be keen to ensure little Louis, who turns two on April 23, and Charlotte, who will be five on May 2, still have fun on their big days.

According to reports, the 93-year-old Monarch has become “tech-savvy” in recent weeks due to the coronavirus crisis and will celebrate the day using a special video conference.

It’s believed that the younger members of the royal family, including Prince George and his siblings, have already been sending videos to their grandparents and great grandparents in recent weeks.

Royal expert Angela Mollard told the ROYALS podcast: “So little Prince Louis is turning two on April 23.

"Then Charlotte turns five on May 2.

"So, within a week and a bit of each other two of them will be having birthdays. Obviously, they won’t be able to have friends over.

"Knowing Kate, she would have a whole schedule of party type things to do."
