I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – said he was ready to quit after the celebrities in main camp voted him to do a trial yesterday. After sleeping on his decision, the 36-year-old decided to stay on the show and went on to merge with the other team.

During his time in The Clink, the music producer grew overwhelmed when he realised he was up for the challenge and was comforted by his co-stars.

Before moving into the main camp, he said: “I’ve tried my best both times today. I just can’t go from here into that main camp… I can’t fake that.

“I’m sorry. One thing I’ll tell you before you guys go into the main camp, as much as they say they love us, they love you… there is no love.

“When you guys go to the main camp, they’re the reason why I left.”

Following his doubts, Boy George took to Twitter to defend him as many shared their thoughts.

In view of his 494,000 followers, he wrote: “Hey people. It’s completely sane and right for @NaughtyBoyMusic to change his mind about ‘main camp’ and what his head was telling him.

“Thinking is a process that leads to bad feelings. A smart person rethinks and reboots.

“Plus the show f**ks with your head! It’s why it’s fun!”

Tonight, the producer was voted to take on another Bushtucker Trial.

It comes after he clashed with his fellow camp mates Kadeena Cox and Frankie Bridge over dinner.

Naughty Boy claimed the rice was being made to be more like rice pudding than the type of rice you eat with beans.

In the Telegraph, he said: “I’m quite passionate about cooking and maybe this isn’t the place to be passionate about cooking. I don’t want to be the one who says it, I’m just being real, it’s not rice.”

He then turned to Danny Miller and claimed the food was “difficult to eat”.

Frankie said of the issue: “You’re just coming into our camp and this was just what we did.”

Not impressed with her words, he hit back: “No, this is our camp. That’s wrong what you just said.”

The brief exchange left the singer in tears as she walked away from the situation.

Naughty Boy decided to skip dinner and went to bed instead.

On Wednesday, the producer’s family spoke out after he was branded “dramatic” by some viewers.

A Twitter user named Dan Ravenscroft said the I’m A Celebrity hopeful seemed to have “deep rooted issues” and slammed people who had negative things to say about him.

“He may not be mentally prepared to deal with the show and the failure,” he added.

Shadid’s family member shared the post, writing: “This! If only everyone knew what he’s battling on the outside world.

“His mum (my nan) is battling dementia and he has been taking care of her for the last 5 years.

“This is the first time he has left her to do something life-changing!

“He is just overwhelmed and he will be fine.”
