I didn’t want to spend a fortune on my wedding dress so bought a £47 one online and it exceeded all my expectations

MANY women spend months and months – not to mention thousands of pounds – in their search for the perfect wedding dress.

But for Lydia Donaldson, the hunt was swift, and cheap!



New Zealander Lydia took to TikTok to reveal she'd splashed out $90 on the gorgeous gown from AliExpress.com – initially as a second choice option for her big day.

"I’m getting married next weekend and my wedding dress is from AliExpress," she said in the video.

"So the way that this came about is that I thought that I was going to buy this dress as a second wedding dress option but when it arrived, I put it on and it was actually pretty decent!"

Modelling the white number, which featured a V neck, cut out back and thigh-high split, she added: "So this dress was $90 (£47.44).

"Also, it’s got pockets!"

In a comment on the video, one person asked if Lydia had actually worn the dress on her wedding day.

And she responded in another TikTok, grinning: "Yes I absolutely did!"

She then showed some pictures from the nuptials as she added: "Here is me wearing it."

Lydia also responded to someone asking what store it was from on AliExpress as she revealed she'd got it from Klain Wedding Store on the website.

"Yeah, highly recommend," she laughed.

"Get married in one of these wedding dresses – it's great."

She was quickly praised in the comments section for her bargain buy, as one person wrote: "It looks beautiful! And you saved soo much money.

"Love it! Congrats."

"It's simple in the absolute best possible way! you look absolutely stunning!!!" another added.

While a third wrote: "Absolutely stunning! I also got a cheap dress. No regrets!"
