I wanted a basic manicure but my nail tech got crazy and went totally rogue – now I'm mortified

HOW do you tell your nail tech that your manicure isn't even close to what you asked for?

Most people just ignore the mistake, like social media user Melinda, who asked her nail tech for a basic design but left with a much different look.

In a video she posted on TikTok, Melinda explained her experience at the nail salon.

"I went to go get a fill on my nails," she said.

She explained that there was a language barrier between her and her nail tech, making it difficult for the two to communicate.

"I just go for basic colors," she said.

"I picked out two colors," she said, explaining that she wanted the darker color used on her ring finger.

"She kept saying something but I didn't know what she was saying, all I heard was 'elegant.'"

Before she knew it, the colors Melinda had picked out we're gone, and her nail tech had taken her own route with the manicure.

Showing off her "elegant" nails, Melinda had a silvery-bold design on all of her nails, and then one, random pink nail on her pointer finger.
