Kim and Kourtney Kardashian slammed for promoting weight loss shakes on Instagram

KIM Kardashian has been accused of setting a bad example to women after she posted another advert for a weight loss product.

The mum of three uploaded a photo of herself on Instagram posing with shakes from the Flat Tummy Co.

The paid partnership with the brand caused anger among fans, who accused the 38-year-old of being a poor role model.

In the post, Kim wrote: “You guys all know I looove @flattummyco shakes. I've just restarted them (it's Day 2 today) and I’m already feeling so good.

“We had a huuuuge Christmas this year and between that, New Years and everything inbetween… I felt like it was impossible to fit in my regular work outs and eat healthy.

“But this program is giving me a kick in the right direction that I need.

“These meal replacement shakes are so good and they're helping me get my tummy back to flat.

“I’m already feeling amazing and I’m so excited for the next few weeks.

“Because they’re all about getting women back on track… they’ve got a 20% off sale going on right now, so if you want to start 2019 off right… trust me, you’re going to want to check them out.”

She signed off by claiming she was on the chocolate programme, but fans have lashed out on social media.

The post has racked up two million likes, but people have vented their fury at Kim with many questioning whether she actually uses the products.

But the backlash didn't put off Kim's older sister Kourtney, who hours later posted an ad for the same product.

The endorsement comes as reports suggest Kim and husband Kanye West are expecting their fourth child, a boy, via a surrogate.

Some questioned why she was advertising weight loss products, while others claimed surrogacy was how Kim kept her figure.

One person wrote: “There’s nothing to suggest she actually drank the shake.

“She posts a pic and cashes a cheque then goes to a surgeon.”

Another person raged: “You should be ashamed of yourself, you could used your influence for such good and instead you’re using it to promote harming your body for a ‘flat tummy’.”

A third simply said: “Promoting something that makes people sick.”

Another agreed, posting: “You should not be promoting meal replacement for ‘healthy’ eating.

“As you have a very large influence on young people you should be promoting a balanced diet and exercise.”

One person said: “I worry that not only are you spreading this unhealthy approach to food to your young impressionable audience, but also your children.”

Others called it “irresponsible advertising”, while another said it was “messed up”.

Some people were less harsh in their criticism, with one person commenting: “Kim you look amazing but this is such a bad message to send to young people.”

Kourtney was also criticised by fans, with one writing: "Celebs in their plain underwear hawking this s*** is disgusting and misleading."

Another wrote: "Again you know it's the gym and eating right that works. Not that rubbish. You need to advertise a gym!"

It’s not the first time the reality TV star has come under fire for promoting diet products, after she uploaded another advert for the same company back in May.

This time posing with lollipops from the Flat Tummy Co, fans and even celebrities criticised Kim for advertising the products.

Jameela Jamil was among stars who lashed out, with the presenter branding Kim “terrible and toxic”.
