Another Sunday, another fresh batch of award show looks to swoon over. The 2023 BAFTAs took place in London on Feb. 19, gathering stars from all over the globe to celebrate the best British and international movies of the year. Film critic Ali Plumb and broadcaster Vick Hope are hosting the red carpet at Royal Festival Hall, spotlighting all the statement-making dresses and dapper suits.

Standout looks so far include Florence Pugh’s red ruffled gown, Hoyeon’s gold strapless ballgown, and Jodie Turner-Smith’s purple rhinestone- and feather-embellished dress. Anya Taylor-Joy also wowed in a champagne-colored minidress and shawl, Cynthia Erivo made a dazzling entrance in a bronze dress with a structural neckline, and Sophie Turner chose a black lace number covered in multicolored gemstones.

It’s sure to be a big night at the ceremony, with Prince William and Kate Middleton making their first BAFTAs appearance since 2020 and Helen Mirren set to honor the late Queen Elizabeth with a special tribute.

This year’s nominees include Angela Bassett (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Ana de Armas (“Blonde”), Viola Davis (“The Woman King”), Paul Mescal (“Aftersun”), Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), and so many more. Aimee Lou Wood, Daryl McCormack, Emma Mackey, Naomi Ackie, and Sheila Atim are all up for the coveted rising star award, which celebrates up-and-coming talents in the acting industry and is voted for by the British public. The trophies will be presented on stage by familiar faces like Jamie Lee Curtis, Regé Jean Page, Ariana DeBose, and Lily James.
