THERE'S no better time to grab yourself a bargain than in the January sales.

And if it's kids clothes or shoes you're after, then it's worth taking a look down your local Sainsbury's.

Delighted shoppers have been taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to share their hugely discounted buys.

Amongst the successful bargain hunters is Kelly Changpu Open, who posted a snap of the cosy-looking Gruffalo-inspired jumper she found that had been reduced from £12 to just £1.

Alongside the image, she penned: "Sainsbury's has a brilliant sale on for the kids as usual…but this is the best to date! Lovely thick quality too."

Another shopper named Holly Molloy posted a snap of the £18 light up black dinosaur-themed school shoes she purchased for her son at the reduced price of £5.40.
