Watch hilarious moment woman realizes she won't make it to work on time – because apartment's front stairs are gone

CAN YOU imagine telling your boss you can't come in because the stairs outside your apartment building disappeared?

Well, this woman was forced to give the most ridiculous excuse to her boss as to why she was late after it actually happened.

Taking to social media, Olivia Crump, a social media manager, shared a video where she looked over her front door.

From her third-floor apartment, she could see how the stairs between the second and first floors had been demolished, leaving her stranded in her apartment.

She claimed her apartment building never told the residents this was happening and she was now stuck inside her apartment.

For hours, she watched construction workers rebuilding them without an end on sight.

Seeing she wouldn't make it to work any time soon, she sent an email to her boss with a picture of the stairs and wrote: "A princess trapped in her tower."

Although the video was pretty funny, many people took to the comment section to say this was a fire hazard.

"They should have had everyone leave or made a temporary alternative route."

And a third asked: "Isn’t the leasing office supposed to arrange for hotel rooms and tell you in advance?"

Following her video going viral, Crump has yet to update on whether she was able to come down and how long it took to replace the stairs again.
