We tried 3 L'Oreal Paris products to see if they lived up to the hype – including a 90s gloss that gives bee-stung lips

WITH life returning to (semi) normal and our diaries starting to fill up again with social events, it could be the perfect time to spruce up your make-up bag.

The team at Fabulous tried three hit products by L'Oreal Paris to see if they’d provide the perfect summer glow for three different skin tones.

Fabulous Magazine's Celebrity Stylist Nana, Fashion Director Tracey and Beauty Editor Tara started off bare-faced before trialling each product on camera.

First up was the L'Oréal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation, which costs £9.99.

Tara said she was excited to try their “hero product”, which comes in 40 different shades to match a range of skin tones.

Tara added: “As you can see I have a lot of redness and pigmentation in my skin.”

Half-way through trialling shade 2.N Vanilla, she was highly impressed, and said: “So that’s this half of my face done, and you can really see the difference.”

Nana, who wore their Deep Golden shade, was also a fan, and said: “I think it’s a really great colour match.”

Meanwhile Tracey, who was keen to see what it looked like on “older skin”, and opted for the 4.N Beige shade, said: “Actually I’m really, really pleasantly surprised by that.

“I thought it was going to be really thick and gloopy.”

Tracey introduced the second product, the L'Oréal Paris Emotions of Nude Eye & Cheek Palette, which costs £14.99 and features 16 nude shades.

Nana demonstrated how she uses two shades for her cheeks – pink for the cheekbone and gold just above it as a highlighter.

She explained: “Instead of using a brush I just use my finger.”

Meanwhile, Tracey loved how it “contoured” her face.

Tara said she uses blush on her nose as well as her cheeks for a “sun caught look.”

Last but not least was the £9.99 L'Oreal Paris Brilliant Signature Plumping Lip Gloss, which proved to be a hit with Nana.

After trying the Amplify shade, she raved: “It is probably my favourite make-up item.”

Tara wore shade Heighten, Nana wore Amplify and Tracey wore Inflate

Demonstrating the application, she explained: “This is the brush it is going on with.

“It’s quite minty and your lips instantly start to tingle.”

Tracey agreed after showing off the red Inflate shade, saying: “So it tingles a bit, which I think is going to give me maybe the slightly bee sting lip look.”

Tara, who tried the Heighten shade, also loved the “staple” gloss and said “everyone is wearing it this summer.”

She concluded: “It just feels really light and fresh.”
