Aaron Carters life from child star to fatherhood before tragic death at 34

Fans were left devastated on Saturday when news of Aaron Carter's tragic death broke, with the singer being found dead in his California home at the age of 34.

The singer, who is the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, is said to have been found dead on Saturday 5 November at his home, according to TMZ, with his cause of death yet to be confirmed.

Aaron shot to fame in the late 1990s when he released his self-titled debut studio album at the age of nine, having initially began performing aged seven, which sold millions of copies worldwide.

His second album, Aaron's Party (Come Get It), was released in 2000 and also proved to be a massive hit with fans, going on sell three million copies in the US.

Aaron's singer career began to take off and he went on tour with The Backstreet Boys and began making guest appearances on Nickelodeon.

He released a third album, Oh Aaron, which also went platinum, followed by Another Earthquake! in 2002 and his Most Requested Hits collection in 2003.

Alongside his Nickelodeon appearances, the star also took part in Dancing With The Stars in 2009 and starred in a reality TV series, House of Carters, alongside his four siblings in 2006.

He toured the world with his music and also starred in musicals, including The Fantasticks where he played lead character Matt. Aaron returned to music in 2017 and released an EP titled LØVË, followed by an album of the same name in February 2018.

Throughout his time in the spotlight Aaron also enjoyed several high profile romances, with the singer dating famous faces including Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff over the years.

He reportedly got engaged to former beauty queen and Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche in 2006, but quickly ended things before going to to reunite in 2015.

Over recent years, Aaron had been in an on-off relationship with model Melanie Martin, with the pair first going public with their romance in 2020.

The duo, who were also engaged for a brief period, welcomed their first child, a baby son named Prince in November 2021.

A representative of Carter's team confirmed the singer's death to the PA news agency on 5 November and said they are still determining the cause of death.

In a statement, they said: "We are extremely saddened and shocked to confirm the passing of Aaron Carter today.

"At the moment his cause of death is being investigated. We ask that you give the family time and they will have more information when available. We cannot express the outpouring of love coming in."
