Before dating Mollie, Alex was with childhood sweetheart Levi, and the 19 year shares a daughter, Lydia-Rose, with her.

A source told The Sun at the time: "It's a shame they couldn't make the relationship work but they've gone their separate ways.

"They're both now just trying to move on but they absolutely adore their daughter."

The news of Alex becoming a father was confirmed in 2018, and Alex was 17 years old at the time.

The Corrie star’s daughter was born just after he and Levi had sat their GCSE exams in school.

Excited for the birth of his baby, Alex said at the time: “I'm still with my girlfriend, and can't wait to have my own little family!"

The child star recently opened up on "dark times" he has faced during his decade in the spotlight.

But, the teen star says his job, family, girlfriend, and two year old daughter have been his "saviours" through it all.

He said: "If I didn't stick at the job that I'm in now I would have been lost.

"Corrie has kept me going and especially having a daughter has kept me going – it gives me something to do.

"I've got a wonderful girlfriend Mollie and she's been there for me, because she's struggled as well, she's a performer too.

"My family have been great and have always looked after me. They just said: 'you go in your own your lane, don't listen to what people say, because they're the people who are jealous of what you've got.'

"It has been a struggle over the years, but I think now I’m on the up," he continued to tell The Sun

Speaking about his struggle at not seeing his girlfriend for the best part of a year, Alex continued to tell the publication: "It's been tough. We've spent a lot of time apart.

"We've spent maybe three quarters of our relationship not physically being able to see each other. It was a struggle, but I’ve got FaceTime and Zoom."
