Coronation Street star Joe Duttines life off screen including famous fiancée and wedding drama

Joe Duttine is currently lighting up screens on Coronation Street. where he plays the role of Tim Metcalfe.

The 51-year-old landed the part in 2010 and has seen his character take on some huge storylines.

His appearances on screen have left fans curious to find out more about the actor and his famous costar fiancee.

The actor is engaged to his Corrie costar Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin, after the pair met during filming meaning Joe landed more than just a job when he made his debut on the Cobbles.

The actor's first big role came in 1994 when he starred as Steve Turner in the detective comedy series Pie in the Sky, followed by a number of big roles in series including Life on Mars and New Tricks.

In 2007, he appeared as Joe in the mini-series Time of your Life 2007 and in 2013, played Rutter in the TV series The Village.

In 2010, Joe made a brief cameo in Corrie as D.S Carr, before stepping onto the street as a permanent Weatherfield resident, Tim Metcalfe, in 2013.

Joe fell for costar Sally Carman in 2018, going public at an ITV party that summer and proposed during the first COVID lockdown which the couple spent together.

Sally announced the engagement last year posting a picture of her ring with the pair drinking champagne writing: “So this happened… #yes.”

They have been busy planning their wedding ever since, however, changing restrictions have meant their planning was slightly delayed.

In June 2021, they celebrated their third anniversary with some loved-up snaps on Instagram.

The couple has tried to plan their big day for December 2021, however, were forced to admit their winter wedding wouldn't be until next year.

Revealing the news at the time, Sally said she was 'heartbroken' that the plan had to change.

“We should have been getting married this December, but we put it to next year because we didn’t know what the score was going to be COVID wise,” she said.

“We thought it was better safe than sorry because I would have hated to have arranged it and then not be able to do it properly.”

Sharing details of her big day she told: “We’re going to have the wedding late afternoon so it will be dark and it will be lit by rows of Christmas trees and twinkly lights. I can’t wait".
