Eric Adams (and his blazer) impress at Hamptons fundraisers

Mayoral hopeful Eric Adams hit the Hamptons over the weekend, where his political talks — and outfit — impressed East End insiders.

The candidate attended a Water Mill fundraiser — wearing a bright red blazer that would’ve made The Weeknd jealous — on Sunday at a private home. The bash was hosted by a group including Democratic backer businessman Dennis Mehiel and Republican billionaire John Catsimatidis, as well as Victoria Schneps and Todd Shapiro.

Co-chairs donated $2,000 to Adams’ campaign.

Adams told the crowd (which included Hamptons mainstay Jean Shafiroff) of issues facing New York — from housing to the homeless, crime and education — “All of that is coming from the same issue, a dysfunctional city that has dysfunctional agencies,” he said. “That’s going to produce a dysfunctional product.”

Earlier, Adams attended a Q&A at Rabbi Marc Schneier’s Hampton Synagogue, we hear. The congregation is becoming a must-stop forum for New York pols and has recently hosted Rep. Ritchie Torres and Attorney General Letitia James. New York Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul is expected to speak there next weekend, we hear.

Adams also attended another Hamptons fundraiser over the weekend, hosted by Marcella Guarino Hymowitz and Colby Mugrabi, we’re told. At the event were political consultants and strategists Hank Sheinkopf, Ken Sunshine and Matthew Hiltzik, sources said.

An attendee told us of that Adams talk: “He was incredibly well-received; he spoke about the importance of all New Yorkers really coming together.” An attendee at the Catsimatidis-hosted event was so keyed up, they told us, “insiders were saying he has a 10-year pan to run for president.”

Reports have said that Adams — who seemingly has the mayor’s race all but locked up — has chosen the head of United Way of New York City, Sheena Wright, to lead his transition team.
