A home stylist has revealed ‘the magic of paint and gyprock’ in incredible before and after photos of her home.
Liz Amaya, who is known for sharing helpful cleaning hacks online is also renovating her Queensland residence.
Stunning photos show how covering the 70s style exposed brick walls with plaster and adding lashings of white paint made the home feel bigger.

The mother of four replaced the dark brown and orange tones with different shades of white
In the after photos the family home looks bright and accommodating.
A huge shift from the dark, cave-like interior featured before the renovation began.
‘Hard to believe this is the same house,’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘Amazing what some paint and gyprock does,’ she added.
And her fans were suitably impressed.
‘I can’t believe it WOW what a transformation,’ one woman, also a stylist, said.
While others thanked her for using honest before and after images to highlight the nature of her renovations.
Liz covered the exposed brick walls with white plaster and replaced the furniture with lighter options
‘Such a beautiful space, well done,’ one woman said.
While others were pleased she kept some of the original features.
‘Pretty cool to see what it looked like. Loving those retro vibes in the old place, so cool you kept the timber ceiling.’
Even people who have followed the mum-of-four for a long time were blown away by the transformation.
‘This blows my mind, I’ve never seen the internal before pics before.’
She expressed her own disbelief at the photos and said she can’t believe it is the same home
The stylist is very popular online and loves helping people make their homes more comfortable
The mum’s next mission is the floors – she says she would love to have oak floor boards but fear they will clash with the wooden ceiling.
‘I think I need white ceiling to make it work – the timber will always clash,’ she said.
The renovations, which Liz described as ‘progressive’, are not yet complete with work on the yard and entertainment areas ongoing.
The mum recently decided to cover in the driveway to make the entertainment area, pool and yard flow seamlessly around the back and side of the home.
