Inside Charley Webbs family Christmas celebrations as she quits soap

Emmerdale’sCharley Webbshared a sneak peak of what Christmas is like in her household in a sweet video shared on social media.

The heartwarming Instagram post started with showing a polaroid picture of Charley, 33, her husband Matthew Wolfenden, 41, and their three kids standing in front of the tree, followed by a montage of clips taken throughout Christmas day.

Charley and Matthew share three sons; Buster, 11, Bowie, five, and Ace, two, together – all of whom looked very excited to see Santa had visited their house on Christmas Eve.

She captioned the festive post: “Christmas 2021. Thank you for everything this year, you guys are my favourite Instagram team. I love sharing things with you guys and all our little chats."

“I hope you all had the loveliest day and I’m thinking of everyone that may have had a harder day yesterday. Love you all lots,” the actress went on.

Charley also showed snippets of some of the family members who came to spend Christmas day with them.

It looks as if Matthew may have been in charge of the cooking, as the dad of three was shown wearing an apron.

The family won’t have been having a traditional turkey roast, however, as Charley revealed thatthey usually have a curry instead.

She explained to her 548,000 followers earlier this month after being asked if she was making a Christmas dinner: “Absolutely not. Also we have a curry on Christmas Day. I'm not a fan of turkey and we have a roast every Sunday so it makes sense."

The family’s festivities come afterCharley allegedly quit Emmerdaleafter almost two decades on the soap, where she plays Debbie Dingle.

Her decision is thought to have been sparked by thealleged race rowMatthew had on-set with his co-star Isabel Hodgins. Matthew has categorically denied the claims.

"Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back," a source toldThe Sun.

“The past few months have given her time to think about the future and it is one that doesn’t involve Emmerdale.

"Matthew being caught up in the row on set fuelled her decision to step away."

An Emmerdale spokeswoman told the newspaper: "There are no current plans forDebbie Dingle to return."
