Emily Ratajkowski was catapulted to fame as one of the star's of Robin Thicke and Pharell William's music video, Blurred Lines.

However, in the eight years since the song aired, lines have become a little less blurred in regards to the formation of her personal life – the stunning model has just given birth to her first child with husband Sebastian Bear-McClard.

In an essay for Vogue magazine, prior to the birth, Emily explained that she does not wish to "force gender stereotypes" on her child and admitted: "we don't know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know".

Although this may seem progressive to some, it should come as no surprise.

Emily has spent the last few years advocating for both patriarchal and political change, from being ardently against body shaming to lending her unwavering support to failed presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

But whether it has been sharing controversial nude selfies with Kimmy K or writing impressively eloquent pieces for New York Magazine, the star's output is rarely boring.

And, as it stands to reason, neither is her home. She lives in the trendy Echo Park neighbourhood of LA alongside her husband, and their adorable dog Colombo.

The house is a dazzling visual feat, with walls filled with bold modern art and many layers of rich colour and textures.

Her living room is expertly crafted with a large mint green suede couch, which recently, as if to parody her public image, Emily shared a snap of herself lying naked upon.

There is an aztec style woven rug on the wooden floor, which is as vibrant as the large paintings that hang above it, and a pale pink stone coffee table for all her glamorous friends to gather round when they are again allowed.

To the right, as you enter the house, there is a picture of Emily that looks to be a print of one her Instagram photos. It is, but it is also a very expensive artwork by Richard Prince.

Writing in New York Magazine about ownership of her own image as a model, the mother-to-be explained how it was made without her consent.

She wrote: "Everyone, especially my boyfriend, made me feel like I should be honored to have been included in the series.

"Richard Prince is an important artist, and the implication was that I should feel grateful to him for deeming my image worthy of a painting."

She continued: "How validating. And a part of me was honored. I’d studied art at UCLA and could appreciate Prince’s Warholian take on Instagram.

"Still, I make my living off posing for photographs, and it felt strange that a big-time, fancy artist worth a lot more money than I am should be able to snatch one of my Instagram posts and sell it as his own."

She wanted to own it herself and she now does, all £80,000 of it hanging in her home.

The Gone Girl actress' bedroom is totally different thematically. If the other rooms are an explosion of colour, this is the blank canvas.

The brick walls are left white, there is a muted taupe headboards, light wood floors and the only source of visual stimulus is the flat screen TV by the bed.

We are sure the sleek design, and Architectural Digest look of the house, is set to change now their child has arrived.

But, even so, there can be no doubt that the stunning model lives in a stunning model home…
