Lindt release salted caramel flavoured Lindor truffles to treat yourself with during lockdown

With lockdown in full swing it is the simple pleasures in life that are keeping us going, like, of course, chocolate.

And for those fellow chocoholics among us, we have some great news. Everyones favourite gourmet chocolatier Lindt have released a new range of Lindor chocolates which sounds absolutely delicious and they are salted caramel flavour.

That’s right, the Swiss company have released a salted caramel truffle and it sounds amazing. The new offering is similar to other Lindor choccies and are milk chocolate balls filled with a soft salted caramel filling.

These scrumptious treats are available at selected Tescos and Morrisons stores and cost £5 for a 200g box full. The new additions were first spotted by a user on the New Foods UK Instagram page, and the post has since been liked over 8000 times.

One follower wrote, “ummm ur dream come true” while another added, “Good Lord! I need these bad boys!” A third simply commented: “game changer”.

They are also available on Amazon if you want to stockpile these beauties and buy them in bulk.

However if your sweet tooth lends itself more to booze than confectionary, there is now a Jaffa Cake gin on sale which has been garnering rave reviews.

The brand new gin combines two timeless classics and is distilled with oranges, fresh orange peel, cocoa powder and real-life Jaffa Cakes. Drool.

Selling for £27.95 from Masters of Malt the Jaffa Cake gin will capture all of the senses, smelling of zingy orange (marmalade-esque), as well as whiffs of vanilla-rich cake and earthy chocolate. And it tastes just like the famous cake/biscuit.

Reviews on the Master of Malt website include one highly satisfied customer calling it “heaven in a glass.”

Another wrote: “This didn’t disappoint those tingling taste buds! Not too sweet which is what I was afraid of, very tangy, great jaffa cake taste to it not just orange flavour. Defo one for the top drawer!” [sic]
