Lottery organisers reveal the luckiest professions if you want to win £1m jackpot – could it be you? | The Sun

LOTTERY organisers have revealed the luckiest professions if you want to be in with a shot of winning a £1million jackpot.

National Lottery players have enjoyed a successful year with 375 players becoming millionaires, sharing £1.3billion between them.

This included the three biggest wins the UK has ever seen.

Britain’s biggest-ever winner was made in the draw on 19 July when an anonymous ticket-holder scooped the mind-blowing EuroMillions jackpot of £195,707,000.

In total, 2022 has seen over £4.5billion paid out in prize money and 782 National Lottery players have won a major prize of £50k or above.

The luckiest job seems to be builders who took the coveted top spot with teachers coming in second.

Zooming into third place were drivers while retail workers were the fourth most successful.

Administration staff were the fifth most likely to hit the elusive jackpot.

In terms of lucky numbers this year, the number 39 has appeared more than any other – seventeen times –  followed by 21, 13, 50 and 58.

The least drawn was little ball number 8 – appearing just five times.  As for the Bonus Ball it was 20 which ruled the roost.

EuroMillions’ luckiest number also appeared seventeen times – ball number 48. It was followed by 24, 25 and 35.

There were three numbers vying for the next place on the luckiest list with 19, 21 and 28 all being drawn fourteen times.

And the luckiest of the Lucky Stars were numbers 3 and 11 which were well clear on the rest.

The last 12 months have been astonishing for some very lucky EuroMillions jackpot winners, with six very fortunate players banking life-changing multi-million pound prizes.

On 10 May, Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester became Britain's biggest-ever National Lottery winners when they banked an £184M jackpot.

The couple only topped The National Lottery’s Rich List until 19 July when an anonymous ticket-holder banked a jackpot of £195,707,000 which remains The National Lottery’s biggest-ever win.

To complete the top three, an anonymous winner also banked £171M on 23 September.

National Lottery players have one final chance to win big in 2022 with a £15M Lotto ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot up for grabs on New Year's Eve.

The whole lot has to go in the draw so players are advised to get their tickets early.
