Model, 22, dating photographer, 42, slams haters who say relationship won’t last
A loved-up couple refuses to let critics get in the way of their relationship.
Desiree Gato is 20 years younger than her 32-year-old boyfriend Mike.
And due to their two decade age gap , their pals aren’t convinced they’ll be together for long.
Desiree – who goes by the nickname Desy – said: “None of our friends think we’re going to last…
“Mike’s parents worry heavily – but they also see how happy I make him, so they're supportive.”
Even though some aren’t convinced by the relationship, the Miami-based couple are excited to have a future together.

Desiree, who balances jobs in real estate and modelling, has been dating Mike for four years.
She first sparked a friendship with the photographer when they worked on a shoot together.
Desy said: “We met in 2016, when we did our very first photo shoot together.
“I drove all the down to Miami from Tampa to shoot with him."
The relationship soon blossomed as the young woman fell for Mike’s sense of humour and maturity.
Desy said: “I love how much he makes me laugh. (And) if we (argue), it always feels like we get closer afterwards.
“He is more emotionally mature and experienced than guys my age, so our arguments are different.”
Mike is equally smitten with Desiree – and apparently, he admires her “ambition”.
He added: “I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of being with someone so beyond beautiful – and much more intelligent for her age than most people know.”
The US photographer is also likely to enjoy the attention he gets from dating a younger woman.
Desiree joked: “Well, Mike’s friends think he’s some sort of pimp or something. They salute him.”
While some don’t think the relationship will last, Desy’s family have given it their blessing.
The model explained: “My dad welcomed Mike with open arms, and sees him like a son in law.
“Mike treats me like a literal queen, so honestly they very happy with him.”
With her family’s blessing, Desiree is happy that she’s forged a business and romantic relationship with the older man.
She added: “Now we own two businesses together – and we’re planning on getting married.
“We have so many plans. Just not kids. We are NOT fans of kids.”

The couple have also learned to ignore those who question their love for each other.
Desy remarked: “We wish people would understood we don’t care what they think.
“We don’t ask for opinions or take into consideration what anyone says about our relationship, because we’re so happy together. We just work.”
