Prince Harry Was Spotted Biking and Surfing Alone in Malibu

The last several months have been a tornado of change for Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. At the top of the year, the pair announced their shocking resignation as senior working members of the British royal family. Since the British press and public appeared to be hellbent on making Meghan’s life miserable, they decided to embark on a new course.

Following a length holiday and adjustment period on Vancouver Island in Canada, the pair returned to the U.K. to carry out their final royal duties. Just before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic swept the globe the couple moved to Meghan‘s hometown of LA.

The couple planned on launching their Archewell foundation right away. However, COVID-19 and the social unrest by Black Lives Matter spurred by police brutality set them on a different course. As the virus continues to surge in the U.S., it appears that Prince Harry is settling into his new life as a California guy.

Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new life in LA

Due to the pandemic and social distancing rules, the Sussexes’ move to LA hasn’t exactly been what they expected. They’ve put the launch of Archewell on hold indefinitely as they focus on how to help those affected by COVID-19 as well as aiding the BLM movement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been through a lot in the past several months. However, it has only strengthened their bond as a couple.

“So much has happened for Meghan and Harry, but I’m told by a source very close to them that all of the experiences, the challenges, the obstacles of 2019 and 2020, have really made them even closer,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight. “One of the things I was told by a friend of the couple’s is that they actually are enjoying the slightly slower pace. They are busy and they are doing quite a lot behind the scenes, but you know, this is a couple that tends to operate 100 miles per hour. I think they’re enjoying the lockdown and the fact that they’ve been able to take a bit of a breather.”

Prince Harry is still adjusting to life away from the British royal family

While Meghan is back home near her friends and her mom, Doria Ragland, civilian life is certainly an adjustment for Prince Harry who has lived within the confines of the royal family for his entire life. Though the couple, their infant son, Archie, and Meghan’s mom are currently staying at Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion, Prince Harry is still figuring things out.

“Harry has a lot of friends in the military community in the UK and of course he misses them,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair. “This is a very strange time for us all, but I think Harry is missing having a structure to his life right now. He doesn’t have friends in L.A. like Meghan and he doesn’t have a job. So at the moment, he’s a bit rudderless, but it won’t always be like this, and he knows that.”

Still, this time has allowed the prince to rekindle his relationship with his older brother, Prince William. The duo had reportedly been feeling some tension between them in the last couple of years due to their different perspectives on royal life.

Prince Harry was jut spotted biking and surfing alone in Malibu

Though the Sussexes have had some breaches in privacy since being in LA, they’ve also been able to enjoy some level of anonymity they never got to experience in the U.K. In fact, Prince Harry was just spotted getting some exercise all by himself.

“Harry was biking at Surfrider Beach aka First Point, where you see the surfers come in. He was alone, had a white biking outfit on with red and black and was, of course, wearing a helmet,” an eyewitness told Hollywood Life. “It appeared he was going to surf because he stopped to check out the waves. Harry really seems to be enjoying the post-royal life and being a normal Cali dude! He seemed totally at ease and normal.”

It appears that the duke was only recognized because of his red hair.
